Civil Engineer – Senior Project Manager, PE – RESIDENTIAL LAND DEVELOPMENT

Job Description

Terrascape Consulting offers Civil Engineering, Entitlement, and Survey services to various clients in the land development private sector. We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager, P.E. with 8+ years of civil project management experience to join our firm in Phoenix, Arizona.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, overseeing a diverse range of project types, or possess significant land development planning, design, and permitting experience. You must be well-versed in the regulatory agency submittal process and familiar with the requirements of local, county, and state agencies. This role involves developing and maintaining project budgets, conducting meetings with clients and agencies, and efficiently managing resources to meet established project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Professional in field of civil engineering required.
• Eight or more (8+) years of project management experience in residential land development preferred.
• Thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
• Experience researching zoning, development standards, development review processes, compliance matters, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to write reports, prepare narratives, development applications, submittal documents and response letters.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Previous working experience with AutoCAD Civil3D is required, but there will be a team of designers and drafters that will complete all final AutoCAD drawings.
• Land development design and management experience including grading and drainage, water, sewer, and paving plans. Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and comprehensive construction plans and reports.
• Strong aptitude for technical research and investigation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects).
• Ability to write reports, prepare narratives, development applications, submittal documents and response letters.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with Clients and stakeholders.
• Business Development and Client Management: Demonstrated skills in business development and adept client management practices.
• Proposal Crafting: Ability to craft comprehensive project proposals outlining scope and cost considerations.
• Commitment to Efficiency: Dedication to project profitability and implementation of efficiency best practices.
• Financial Management: Understanding of project accounting principles and proficient in budget management and accurate invoicing processes.
